What counts as Transport and logistics

This industry corresponds to section H of the SK NACE classification: land transport, water and air transport, warehousing and support activities, and postal and courier services. The largest group consists of small road hauliers, often sole traders with one or two vehicles.

Used car dealers and repair shops are under Car dealers and repair shops, not transport.

Hauliers have their own register

Road transport as a business is governed by a separate act. Hauliers are recorded in the transport ministry’s information system.

Road transport information system
The system at jiscd.sk records licensed hauliers, taxi services and driving schools under Act No. 56/2012 Coll. on road transport. Only part of the entries include contact details, and coverage varies by region.
Taxi register
Taxi services are also kept as a separate register in the Register of Legal Entities; the open data of 3 October 2026 contained 4,585 active entries.
Commercial and trade registers
Larger transport firms are companies. Smaller hauliers work as sole traders; their data is personal data.

Not in the export

  • number and type of vehicles
  • licence and community licence numbers
  • routes and customers
  • names of dispatchers
  • mobile numbers of drivers

These 17 columns are included.

Fleet and registered office

Public registers do not show fleet size directly. If you are looking for larger hauliers, say so in your request and we will suggest a substitute criterion, such as turnover from the register of financial statements for companies.

Hauliers drive all over Europe but are often based in small municipalities near motorways and border crossings. A selection by region reflects the registered office, not the area of operation.
